There are some days when you just don't need to go all out and make a big deal out of a meal. This was especially the case last night because we had a lot of the Chicken and Dumpling leftovers that we had decided to eat for lunch. Therefore, I decided that a sandwich of some kind with a piece of fruit and some chips would be the perfect dinner. As a sandwich lover, I try to make different kinds by using different meats, veggies, condiments and breads. Last night, a classic. I don't know if you can get better than a traditional club sandwich, but I was going to try.
Ingredients per sandwich
3 slices Whole Wheat Bread
4-6 slices of Roasted Turkey Breast
1 slice of Cooked Ham
2 cooked slices of Bacon (cooled and cut in half)
1 slice Provolone Cheese
1 slice Cheddar Cheese
1 leaf of Romaine lettuce
1 slice of tomato
1 TBSP Mayo
Preparation
Toast Bread. When completed, divide mayo among two slices and spread evenly. Place cheese on top of mayo. Place tomato on one slice, and lettuce on other slice. Divide turkey evenly and place on both slices. Place ham on one side and bacon on the other. Leave the Ham stack on bottom, top with bacon stack and top with 3rd piece of bread. Place 4 tooth picks at the North, South, East and West locations of the sandwich, then cut into quarters on the diagonal. Serve with fruit and snack of your choice.

Thoughts: Heather couldn't eat it all, making it a little bigger dinner than I anticipated, but I had no problem scarfing it down. I like club sandwiches, and it is so easy to prepare that you can't help but get a restaurant quality sandwich. Also, the possibilities are endless when making a club sandwich because you can add or takeaway any array of condiments, meats, cheeses and veggies to the sandwich. I give my club a 7 out of 10, and I will make it again and again, because sandwiches ROCK!!!
