Creativity

Since the Schmitt Marital Trust Experiment was such a huge success, Heather and I have decided to do another experiment.  This time, Heather will be doing the choosing and I will be figuring out just what to do with it.  How's that?  Because this month is all about creativity.  It's the Schmitt Marital Creativity Experiment.  Let's see if we can't make some magic.

For this experiment, Heather is using my love of cooking to help me think of some new and exciting dishes to make us for breakfast, lunch, dinner or dessert.  A lot of people have had some meals that I have made and have told me that they were good.  Either they were lying, or I really do have some talent in the culinary arts which should make this experiment fun.  Here is how it will work.

If you watch the TV show Chopped on the Food Network, it will kind of be like that, only not to the extreme.  Each evening Heather will choose one ingredient that I will have to use the next day.  I can use the ingredient in breakfast, lunch, dinner or dessert, but I have to use it in a way that is creative.  For example, if Heather chooses an apple, I can't just slice up the apple and put it on a plate with a sandwich.

The rules:

1.  Heather can choose any ingredient that she can find at any store.  She can't choose an item that I can't locate in Melbourne.

2.  I have to use that item in a significant way during one meal for the day.

3.  I can add any other items to the ingredient that I want.

4.  Heather and I must try at least 3 bites of whatever dish I create.

5.  We will both give our feedback about the item after eating the dish, as will any guests we have come over to join us for the experiement that day.

Depending on how happy I am with the dish, I may or may not post ingredients and recipes each day.  I might wait and post them all in a book that will be available for purchase later.  I need to get a job sometime.

There it is.  Day 1 of the Schmitt Marital Creativity Experiment starts tomorrow.  Now if you will excuse me, I have to start planning a fruity dinner!
